Alex Kosmitoras’s life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead-broke and insanely overprotective, and to complicate matters even more, he's blind. Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, a new girl from India moves into town. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Yes, sophomore year might not be so bad after all.

Unfortunately, Alex is in store for another new arrival—an unexpected and often embarrassing ability to “see” the future. Try as he may, Alex is unable to ignore his visions, especially when they begin to suggest that Simmi is in danger. With the help of the mysterious psychic next door and new friends who come bearing gifts of their own, Alex must embark on a journey to change his future

Review-
As the summary explains above, Alex the main character, is blind and has supernatural "abilities."  Alex was an interesting type of character, I liked him at times and at others I didn't. The one quality I admired was that he didn't just want to mope around all day, he went out, and he made friends. Simmi is the love interest of the story and I really like her personality. I also thought it was really sweet that she didn't care if Alex was blind, she still liked him.

The conflict in the story is that Alex has a vision that Simmi might die. Alex is scared out of his mind and has to put together all the pieces to figure out who the killer is and when it will happen. About half the story is about putting the pieces together and when they finally did it ended in a way I didn't think it would. What I mean by that is that I thought the book was going to end and we don't know if Simmi really does die, but  they found the guy and it really was a mistaken identity. It's very hard to explain for those who haven't read it.

Overall I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. Check it out for yourself because its a story you've never heard before! Thank you Ms.Chand for the opportunity and check out all the info above for a chance to win a prize of $100!!

 Have a great day!
